As the visionary co-founder of GCG Construction, Teely Byrd has been shaping the landscape of Southwest Florida’s construction industry with his innovative and strategic approach.Teely’s connection to construction goes beyond professional—it’s personal. Wearing his first hard hat when he was only two years old, he was practically raised on construction sites. This lifelong immersion has equipped him with an in-depth, intuitive understanding of the industry, fostering a dedication that permeates every aspect of his work. He relocated to Southwest Florida in 1992, directly contributing to the region’s dynamic growth. With a robust portfolio and over two decades in construction management, Teely is not only a LEED AP Building Design + Construction professional but also certified by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). His forward-thinking and innovative perspective ensures that GCG Construction remains at the forefront of the industry, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
LERIN BYRD
Lerin Byrd, co-owner of GCG Construction, epitomizes the spirit of entrepreneurial finesse combined with deep industry knowledge. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida, Lerin relocated to Ft. Myers to harness her expertise in the real estate and construction sectors. Her early exposure to construction ignited a lifelong enthusiasm for the industry, guiding her to a pivotal role in client development, project funding, and financial oversight at GCG. As a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida, Lerin’s comprehensive grasp of the market complements her strategic vision. Her leadership extends beyond the company as she currently presides over the Porto Fino Owners Association, among other board positions, influencing industry standards and fostering community development.
