GCG Construction, Inc. has completed the newest addition to the growing Phelan Family Brands of restaurants, Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House at 482 Blackburn Point in Osprey, Florida. Featuring spectacular views from both the second story dining terraces and inside through the custom glass Euro-Walls, this restaurant is the epitome of “Real Florida”. The 3.38 +/- acre site was designed to construct the building on the northern most point of the property to maximize views of Little Sarasota Bay. Underground storm chambers were utilized to take full advantage of the remaining land to provide ample parking for the dining and marina customers. GCG was hired as the Construction Manager and General Contractor and worked with GMA Architects & Planners on the architectural design along with George F. Young, Inc. for the Civil Engineering. The team at GCG was able to successfully complete this full-service upscale restaurant featuring an open kitchen, fresh seafood market, separate event dining space, and waterfront verandas while working closely with Sarasota County in twelve months. GCG also worked with all subcontractor trades and suppliers to order and store materials onsite to avoid cost increases and escalations in this ever-changing market. The project has been a complete success and GCG is looking forward to the next venture.
Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House is open from 11am-10pm daily and features outstanding specials of fresh fish and seafood. For more information, visit www.deeplagoon.com
