GCG Construction proudly announces the groundbreaking of the Bridgeway Transitional Housing renovation project. Located at 205B Shell Ave. in Fort Walton Beach, FL, this renovation represents a significant milestone for Bridgeway Center and the community they serve.
The Bridgeway Transitional Housing project, undertaken for Bridgeway Center (https://bridgewaycenter.org/), encompasses a complete interior overhaul spanning 4304 square feet. The scope includes stripping down all finishes to the structure, addressing structural needs such as termite or water damage, hurricane requirements, and ensuring code compliance. The project also features state-of-the-art life safety measures, a new kitchen, updated baths, and modifications to the floor plan. Exterior enhancements involve roof replacement, impact-rated doors and windows, and a fresh coat of paint.
As a vital community service, the renovated facility will provide transitional housing for individuals discharged from the Forensic Pre-Trial Program, the Detox Unit, or those experiencing homelessness, including veterans. This endeavor aims to create a safe and stable environment, supporting occupants on their recovery journey.
